July 27th marks the release of SunStorm which is what talented producer and musician, Zo! calls “the biggest release of his career”. The anticipation is high for the album and rightfully so. Feedback from the first free available song “Greatest Weapon Of All Time” and SunStorm’s first single and video for “This Could Be The Night” left everyone wanting more.
The journey into SunStorm begins with “Greater Than The Sun” which features the singing and rapping greatness of The Foreign Exchange’s Phonte. Other artists that guide you through SunStorm are Yahzarah and Darien Brockington who are also in Foreign Exchange family, Jesse Boykins III, Carlitta Durand, Rapper Big Pooh, Lady Alma, Monica Blaire, Chantae Cann, Sy Smith and Grammy nominated singer, Eric Roberson.

Lady Vee’s Personal Faves:
- If I Could Tell You No Featuring Jesse Boykins III – I love the light jazzy feel of this song. If the album was meant to really take you through a SunStorm, I imagine this would be the “sunshiny” part. Pairing the beautiful production of this track with the wonderful voice of Jesse Boykins III and you truly have a jewel of a song.
- Make Luv 2 Me Featuring Monica Blaire – I have to admit that while I have heard of Monica Blaire, this was the first time I heard her sing and really, all I can say is “WOW!” Starting off with lyrics like, “Make love to me…with intention and purpose. Show me that you know how to get down, give me all you’ve got…”this joint is probably one of the sexiest songs I’ve heard in awhile…all 10 mins & 35 seconds of it! Yup! I said it! The slow and sultry vibe of the track alongside Monica’s rich ‘come hither’ singing voice will definitely be a great addition to anyone’s bedroom playlist *wink, wink*
All in all, Zo’s SunStorm has a little something for everyone; from upbeat tempos to slow, sexy vibes and all points in between. The album has different layers and is unpredictable but the end result is in fact, fairly beautiful….just how I imagine a SunStorm would be.
So my fave songs are:
